Review of Acuity Scheduling Online Software. Easy Online Appointment Scheduling.
Save time by having your clients book appointments online, on their own, at any time, anywhere in the world — and on your schedule. Acuity scheduling is the best online scheduling software I have found. It integrates to Google calendar easily, allows for online appointment scheduling and appointment booking services, creates multiple calendars that are adaptable and easy to use. (Did I mention EASY?!?)
I have the Wordpress plugin that creates a calendar (with timezone prompting optional) that updates whenever a client makes an appointment or I create a new schedule. Acuity Scheduling has allowed me to stop worrying if I’m overbooking (which I do…) or need to schedule a 20 minute new client consultation.
Bonus! Unlimited text message reminders to clients! So far, I have not had a client miss an appointment or have the excuse that they didn’t know. When they schedule their online appointments, a customer account is created which saves all of their information. They are then sent a series of customized reminder notices.
I don’t use the pay feature, but I have set it up. You can set up appointments that need to be paid for before booking, or keep them as “free” (turn off the dollar amount indicator) and then collect payment offline or through another avenue. I have also played around with the gift certificate model, which automatically generates a unique code that allows customers/clients/students to a limited number of appointments (and keeps track). I thought of using this feature when selling packages of sessions, such as a discount for pre-paying for 10 sessions. They would enter the code and then be allowed to only book 10 sessions before it would prompt the client to pay again. However, I haven’t used it in a practical sense, so I am not sure how that would work.
I have tried a number of online scheduling software for small business options, and after a number of failed attemtps (including some of the big names) I have been extremely happy with Acuity Scheduling. Great customer service, really nice upgrades and user-friendly. Clients have no problem using this software.
